This is an interesting observation between two WWII Veterans…
Not that I’m partial to Dan as I have no clue as to who the other person is, but that I too do not see anything but disappointment from either person mentioned below as one is trouble from the time he walks into the room for he is an influential Extreme Right Winger and as we have found out Extremist from either side is bad news, and the other, a Convert and a Moderate that can be compared to the two Maine ladies who have a voting record as Moderates to Liberal Republicans who also favor the guy from AZ, oh yea, that’s right, John McCain the POW Hero! CHANGING the subject for a second… McCain if anyone has ever read about his life in the Military and time as a POW, prior to his running for President when his like others who don’t want everyone knowing the majority of their past, had his personal records locked up, as it seems to be the going thing amongst Democrats, you know Obama and John Kerry and little known of, Bob Kerrey Senator from Nebraska. John McCain you can obtain information about him from old magazines like Life, Look, Post, and Times!!! You can get his full debriefing where he openly confessed to not being treated so badly after he caved and told the North Vietnamese his Father was the Admiral of the American Naval Fleet for S.E. Asian operations!!!
Anyway when it comes to contenders we will have to depend upon the disgruntled voters who were snowed by their messiah, as the GOP has had from the time they knew, which was from day one when they nominated John McCain for the GOP contender up against Obama, to get their next contender primed and ready for the 2012 elections. They sat on their backsides and licked their wounds and once Obama started making a sorry showing in the polls and they realized what exactly what Obama’s agenda was they woke up, got up and concentrated on the Congress and still not on the future 2012!!!
It appears that Michele Bachmann has a strong support base and if it comes right down to it I sincerely hope American is open to the possibility of a woman President as they were on having a charismatic two faced Liberal who happened to be Black and the people figured it was long overdue. Bachmann will stimulate the women voters and you know the percentage factor of women vs men’s population as well as you know the ratio of seriousness between the two!!! You have a very bad percentage of men who care less about the State of the Union, as long as they are personally left alone to drink, smoke, eat, roam, drive and or ride their favorite machine, and engage in a lot of fun and games behind closed doors… OH yea!!! Let’s of course NOT leave out their number one source of entertainment, Sports!!!… by either means, participants or glued to the screen fanfare!!!

I agree that ANY Republican will be superior to what we have now in the White House. However I completely disagree with your two prime choices.
Both Mitt Romney & Newt Gingrich are RINOs.
Neither is a Conservative.
To turn this country around we need a Conservative President & Senate to compliment the Conservative House.
We have 18 months to make a proper choice to take on the Socialist, Fascist thug now soiling the White House.

I firmly believe that not enough Americans know enough about our Founders and the work they did in Philadelphia in the late 1770s. I grew up in the Valley Forge area. Once I graduated from high School and worked in Philadelphia, I drove through Valley Forge each day and when in Philadelphia, I drove past Independence Hall. When I joined the Air Corps in World War 2, I even took my Oath with my hand on the Liberty Bell in Independence Hall. What an honor.
I believe that Americans should make it their aim to study and bring themselves up to date on our Founding Documents and fully realize how important they are to our Nation today. We are fast losing that which made us great. We must regain it.
We will be facing a Presidential election in the not to distant future/ What we have now should warn us of how important this election will be. We are BROKE as a Nation and we have debt which will embrace our children, grandchildren and THEIR offspring. This was all caused by an error in the very thing which sets us apart from the rest of the world …. Government OF, BY and FOR the people. They totally erred in who they gave us in the last election. This MUST be corrected. I will not tell you WHO to vote for but I will tell you to study the values and beliefs of those who are running in the next election.
I personally believe Newt should come to the fore. He IS Presidential and HAS the background to lead us. However, I will accept any of those Republicans running. I also believe Mitt is a very good possibility. Any of them would be better than that we have now in the White House.
